Social Media For C Stores with Notays Premier

Nominated for the Social Media Retailer of the year at this years Fed Awards, Surjeet Notay has been very active in promoting his Premier Convenience Store to attract new customers and also to keep current customers engaged with his store.

Here are some top tips from the main man himself and how to stay ahead in an ever changing social network..

- Social Media Strategies for my store are important I focus on creating engaging and authentic content that resonates with our audience. This includes:

- Content Creation: Regularly posting high-quality images and videos showcasing our products, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and customer testimonials.  Using Tik Tok & Instagram to showcase the store is currently very effective. 

- Engagement: Actively responding to comments and messages to foster a community around our brand. We also encourage user-generated content by hosting contests or featuring customers using our products and myself on the camera promoting the store

- Promotions and Events: Using social media to announce sales, promotions, and exclusive events to drive foot traffic and online sales like the Euros, sports events, Easter, Halloween etc..

- Analytics: Monitoring performance metrics to understand what content works best and adjusting our strategy accordingly.

The platform that has made the most impact for us is Instagram. Its visual nature allows us to showcase our products effectively and engage with our audience. It’s an impactful platform and contributes to many sales, especially new brands and special offers.

Key Points of Advice for Retailers looking to utilize social media, here are some key points of advice from my experience:

- Know Your Audience: Understand who your target customers are and tailor your content to their preferences and interests.

- Consistency is Key: Regular posting helps maintain visibility and engagement. Create a content calendar to plan your posts ahead of time.

- Quality Over Quantity: Focus on high-quality content that reflects your brand’s identity rather than just posting for the sake of posting.

- Engage and Interact: Social media is a two-way street. Make sure to interact with your audience, respond to comments, and engage with their content.

- Leverage Analytics: Use the analytics tools available on social media platforms to track your performance and adjust your strategy based on what works best.
